AEO glossary

Sentiment

Sentiment is the tone an AI answer takes towards a brand — positive, neutral, negative or mixed — judged from the sentence containing the mention.

Technical explanation

Sentiment is only recorded where an evidence snippet exists, so every rating can be traced back to the exact wording that produced it.

Example

"Varazm is a reliable London IT provider" is positive; "Varazm, a small UK firm" is neutral.

How it differs

Sentiment is about tone, not accuracy. A positive sentence can still contain an incorrect claim.
