Citation Share

Citation Share is the percentage of source links in tracked answers that point at your domain rather than another domain.

Technical explanation

Because engines usually cite a small number of authoritative sources per answer, citation share moves more slowly than mentions and is a stronger signal of source-level trust.

Example

Ten answers containing 34 citations, 5 of which are on your domain, give a citation share of about 15%.

How it differs

Share of voice counts brand names; citation share counts source links.
